Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her parents are born in Polish heritage (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent to perform on an early age on stage. Her audition was in 1992 and got an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13, and she was cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. In addition to taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career in the year 2000. Bell was in a role of minor importance without credit in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she took home the role as Dorothy. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell quit her college in 2001 after she was cast in the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell's first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and the credits are all that show her. Bell appeared part of the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
